INSIST ON YOUR RIGHTS

IF YOU ARE CALLED TO A MEETING...

If management calls you to a meeting you can protect yourself by:

  • asking what will be discussed, and
  • asking who will be attending
  • If it could be disciplinary you can insist an AUPE representative be present

If you are asked to respond or comment on a particular incident:

  • request time so you can recall details, avoiding answering "off the cuff"
  • If it may be disciplinary, ask to speak to an AUPE representative first

DON'T BE INTIMIDATED...

You have rights including the right to fair treatment and to representation by AUPE
